ENCARTE: MOTÖRHEAD [6]
Final do texto de Malcom Done sobre “Orgasmatron” (1986) na minha versão remasterizada dupla (2006):
“So, whither Orgasmatron in the 21st Century? It stands firm as one of the best records Lemmy and co. have ever delivered. The title track itself continues to inspire, being covered in recent times by both Sepultura and Norwegian black metal heroes Satyricon, while the album’s ebb and flow is a maze of consistency. Lemmy himself believed back then that this was the best Motörhead line-up up to that point – and while there’s always likely to be a traditional adherence to the classic ‘Fast’ Eddie Clarke/Phil Taylor/Lemmy incarnation he does have a strong point. And, in 1986, the Motor Leader remained defiant against trends, market forces and sales charts:
‘Am I bothered if we sell lots of records? No. I know how good this band is, right now. Selling loads of albums, or not selling them, won’t change my mind. We’d doing this, even if nobody else cared’.
You know what, he meant it then – and he means it now”.
