Ainda ñ tenho as versões em cd de “Amongst the Catacombs Of Nephren-Ka” (1998) e “In Their Darkened Shrines” (2002), pra conferi-las, e sei q apenas “Ithyphallic” (07) e a compilação “In the Beginning” (99) ñ as têm, mas sei da tradição dos encartes de cd’s do Nile conterem copiosas notas informativas sobre os sons, contextos de composição e amenidades relativas aos mesmos. Cometidas pelo dono da lojinha, Karl Sanders.
Copiosas o quanto?
Em “Black Seeds Of Vengeance” (00), ocupam 3 páginas inteiras – de 12 totais; em “Annihilation Of the Wicked” (05), encontram-se misturadas às letras, ocupando 12 páginas, de 20 totais; em “Those Whom the Gods Detest” (09), idem o anterior, mas ocupam 9 páginas e meia de 24. E no recente “At the Gate Of Sethu” (12), 12 páginas de 24 totais.
Deste último retiro os seguintes trechos (de duas páginas totais), de fazer o amigo Jorginho Emanuel Neto, anjinho mórbido outro dia por aqui citado (nesta pauta específica), se sentir um nerd iniciante:

“I suppose music critics are somewhat of a necessary Evil. Most of them seem to be decent enough folks and many of them write interesting and informative reviews. Over the years I have benefitied a great deal from the constructive aspects of both the positive and the negative feedback across the entire spectrum of reviews – from the polar extremities of glowing and appreciative all the way to the hateful and scalding. Thankfully, most reviews tend to fall somewhere in a sane middle ground of reasonable temperament. There are a few critics, though, whom seem to exist only to spread negativity and cause anguish amongst artists and music fans alike. To my utter dismay and horror, I recently discovered that there is a little-known offshoot species of music critic. I had accidentrally and regretfully observed that the recent growing popularity of some Metal bands incorporating regional folk musical influences of various cultures into their music has insidiously bred yet another hibrid sub-species of the Genus Musicus Criticus – The ‘Ethnomusicologist Metal Critic”. A.K.A. Ethnus Musicus Criticus. This ultra-rare, reclusive and infrequently-spotted, seemingly inconsequential yet fascinating minor breed of Musicus Criticus is usually of untrained pseudo-intellectual lineage, and is of a distinct separated and urelated strain from the Genuinely-College-Educated-Degree-Holding-Ethnomusicologist (who actually does serve a very useful purpose – the preservation and study of indigenous musical cultures around the world).
(…)
And dear friends, please be advised, avoid Ethnomusicologists if at all possible. If you happen to mistakenly trespass upon one of their Lairs – usually ultra elitist internet chat groups, online discussion forums, or the viperously hazardous, impregnable and invincible Sanctuary Serpent-Pit of Ethnos Musicus Criticus – the dreaded ‘BlogSpot” – stay calm, do not panic, and most importantly, do not attempt to debate music with a cornered Musicologist – YOU CAN NOT POSSIBLY WIN. They believe they know absolutely everything about ALL music, will completely abuse whatever limited vocabulary the actually possess, and will not stop harnessing Google and Wikipedia until the have achieved your utter defeat and humiliation. Even if you promptly and politely surrender humbly – this menacing species will relentlessly beat your dead horse with no mercy or quarter shown; nay, it will mindlessly continue its keyaboard assault upon the lingering memory of your person even unto severeal eternities beyond your flee-for-your-life departure, unless or until another hapless victim naively wanders into their hunting grounds. Instead of antagonizing it with any form of communication whatsoever, well meaning or otherwise, immediately disengage if possible, back away slowly, and just surf somewhere else less treacherous to your patience and sanity”.
