Phil Rind, em momento “visite nossa cozinha” no encarte de “The American Way” (1990):
“So here we are again. It’s been a while, almost two years since the ‘Surf’ e.p. Oh well, we write slow. This new cd is a bit different than our previous efforts. Lyrically I think it is a little more personal than either ‘Ignorance’, or ‘Surf Nicaragua’. Although there are some political songs/overtones, we’ve tried to deal more with people than political systems. I don’t care for politics too much, there’s too much bullshit and frustration. Everyone should work out their own problems before trying to correct everybody else’s. Musically we’ve tried to expand our horizons without forgetting our roots. Some people will apreciate the changes, others… let’s just say they’d be satisfied with ‘Ignorance II’. Well you can’t please everyone, but at least we’re happy with it. I’m getting pretty close to the end here, but I’d like to leave you with something to think about. Too many people are hung up on how people are different from each other, be it race, religion, color, sexual preference, gender, or age. The fact is that we are more similar than different. We all want to love and be loved. We’re all made of flesh and blood. We’re all laugh and we all cry. If we could all just focus on our similarities rather than our differences, the world would be a better place. It seems so simple…
