Release repleto de duplos sentidos e trocadilhos tipicamente ingleses, lavrado por Mark ‘Barney’ Greenway no encarte de “Coded Smears And More Uncommon Slurs” (2018):

“WHY WHY WHY BUT WHY?

This largely being a compilation album of our own very-nearly-made-the-album stuff, there are tracks here that we argued the toss over, then argued the toss over some more but couldn’t quite see flushed down the grind toilet. Some have propped up the early lives of assorted Napalm albums; others have resonated when we were invited to share vinyl space alongside impeccable noisemakers – Melvins to name but one. The more off-the-cuff stuff here just simply made us supremely fucking excited – if you can understand now bashing out some Japanese hardcore (Gauze) or childlike quirlky prog (Cardiacs) covers might mean so much to us.

We might not exactly have remembered all the ins and outs of these tracks as we dragged them into the present, but we certainly hope they sit lovingly in your headspace. Enjoy uncomfortably.
