1º som: passava o clipe de “Transfixion” no Fúria Metal? Se sim, foi meu primeiro
Sintomático eu ñ lembrar; lembro dum clipe anterior ao de “Terminal Illusions” tendo passado no pograma, com o Gastão elogiando um monte. Ñ me disseram nada, som nem imagem. Quando passou o de “Terminal Illusions”, achei – heresia! – o som tosco, mas o clipe genial. Embora tosco
1º álbum: “Nothing”, nos anos 00, comprado a 10 reais lacrado, em promoção na Galeria. Baseado naquela intuição conhecida (quem nunca?) de ‘comprar pra acabar gostando. Vai q é bão’. Tb ñ me desceu, mas beleza. Persisti e só fui “entender” – achar q entendi – no “Catch Thirty-Three”, daí fui pro “Koloss”, pro dvd ao vivo e toda a discografia anterior
Recomendo muitíssimo o “Nothing” (2006) regravado. Muito melhor pra se iniciar na banda!

Primeiro som foi “Combustion”, incluído numa trilha produzida pelo Al Jourgensen. Em meio a tanta barulheira e maluquices sonoras, a ficha não caiu.
1º álbum foi o “Koloss”. Aí sim foi aquele assombro. Foi mais ou menos na época em que rolou aquela instigante resenha do show aqui no TCH. Depois disso, parti pro “ObZen” e agora tô degustando o “Catch 33”. Logo, logo chego aí no “Nothing”.

Tenho essa versão do “Nothing” em cd. A regravação é muito diferente/melhor?

Eu achei bem melhor. Melhor mixada, menos estridente (guitarras regravaram o disco, com instrumentos de 8 cordas – os demais continuaram os mesmos, tvz um andamento num som ou outro tenham mexido), mais palatável.
A comparação é com as duas versões do “So Far, So Good, So What?!”, saca?

“The new version features the rhythm guitar tracks re-recorded with new guitars and amplifiers. The guitar tracks on the original Nothing were recorded with detuned 7-string Ibanez guitars, as the Nevborn custom 8-string guitars they owned suffered from bad intonation and became detuned between each recording. When guitarists Hagström and Thordendal were sponsored by Ibanez with custom 8-string guitars, they were so pleased with the results that they decided to re-record their parts with the new instruments. The drums were also re-recorded by triggering the original drum hits using Drumkit from Hell Superior. The vocals were not re-recorded, but were given extra dramatic effects.
Aside from the re-recorded guitars and triggered drum samples, there are only two songs significantly modified from their original version. The tempo of “Nebulous” has been lowered, and the length of “Obsidian” has nearly been doubled, the heavy riff beginning at 3:08 and changing tempo at around 5:30. The rest of the songs from the re-release seem to be minimally longer than the original release”.
