ENCARTE: PETER CRISS
Do release dum certo Robert V. Conte, contido na caixinha de meu “Peter Criss” (1978):
“With producer Vini Poncia (who later produced Dynasty and Unmasked) and several session musicians, Criss belted out original tracks like ‘I’m Gonna Love You’, ‘Hooked On Rock’n’Roll’, and ‘That’s the Kind Of Sugar Papa Likes’ with his trademark raspy voice and jazz style drum technique. Unfortunately, the only track that consumers expressed interest in was the catman’s cover of the classic rock and roll hit, ‘Tossin’ And Turnin’.
Through Peter Criss sold over one million copies and earned Platinum certification, it was the lowest selling of the four solo álbuns. Disappointed with the album’s performance and bitter with resentment that the record was dismissed as another KISS álbum and not given the chance it deserved as a solo effort, Criss decided his ultimate fate: within two year, the catman would leave KISS to pursue a full-time solo career“.
